Professional Liability Insurance
Your school and its allied healthcare programs, students, and the faculty who instruct and supervise them are covered with limits of liability up to $1 million per occurrence and up to $5 million annual aggregate for the duration of the policy. Higher limits of up to $2 million per occurrence, up to $5 million annual aggregate are available as well.
Plus, the following features are included in the policy at no extra cost:
- Expert Legal Representation
Costs which result from the investigation and defense of a claim are covered in addition to the limits of liability, whether your case is won or lost.
- School Grievance/Disciplinary Hearing
Reimbursement of up to $1,000 per incident, up to $10,000 annual aggregate, for covered expenses for an appearance before a school grievance committee or Academic Disciplinary Board.
- Defendant Expense Benefit
Reimbursement of up to $10,000 annual aggregate for lost wages and expenses incurred for the insured to appear in court to defend themselves against a covered malpractice claim.
- Assault Coverage
If one of your insureds is the victim of assault in clinicals, while commuting to and from clinicals, or during clinical-related travel, this plan covers up to $1,000 per incident, up to $25,000 annual aggregate. (Not available in Texas).
- Medical Payments
Up to $100,000 aggregate, up to $2,000 per person.
- Damage to Property of Others
Provides benefits up $10,000 annual aggregate, up to $250 per incident for any damage to the property of others caused by one of your insureds, for which you are responsible.
- Deposition Representation
Up to $5,000 aggregate, up to $1,000 per deposition.
- First Aid Expenses
Up to $25,000 aggregate, up to $500 per incident.
