Lisa joins the Academy family bringing with her the vast knowledge and skills necessary in her field to assure our students success in the healthcare industry. With more than 17 years experience and training many new employees over the years, she has taken her passion, drive and values for patient care into our classroom. She began her career as an MA working at an OB-GYN office, later moving on to her CNA career working with Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients. After 6 years, she then worked hard to obtain her CPT, CET and BLS certifications. Lisa’s career grew quickly then, providing her with some amazing opportunities. She works as an Ambulatory Support Technician at Bridgeport Hospital, and an independent CPT contractor. She has also worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital, outpatient labs, Quest Diagnostics and a Yale New Haven Health physician’s office. Lisa is thrilled to bring her enthusiasm and skills set to AOMT and plans to help her students begin their new careers as phlebotomists for many years to come.
